Concierge Therapy vs Traditional Therapy

ree

I decided to offer concierge therapy because I saw how many clients, especially those navigating trauma or significant life stressors, were underserved by traditional therapy models. In high-volume or insurance-based settings, privacy is limited, session slots are scarce, and it’s difficult to get the responsive,

individualized care that real healing requires.

For those whose histories include trauma or ongoing stressors, having immediate access to support, extended sessions, and knowing your story remains confidential can make all the difference in the therapeutic process.I also recognized that the traditional 50-minute therapy hour doesn’t always meet everyone’s needs. Sometimes, circumstances call for more time, more flexibility, or in-the-moment attention—especially when treatment requires more intensive focus or urgent support.

Concierge therapy makes it possible to design our sessions around your actual needs rather than arbitrary time limits.Compared to traditional therapy, concierge therapy offers much faster and easier access to appointments, so you receive help exactly when you need it, not just when a slot opens up. This approach lets me fully focus on you, offering dedicated attention, continuity, and a truly individualized plan you won’t find in larger or insurance-based practices. It also offer flexibility for where, when, and how we meet—sessions can be in any setting that helps you feel comfortable.

Your privacy is always a priority, since concierge therapy often leaves insurance out of the process, your records remain strictly confidential between us. Between sessions, you’ll have ongoing access to me by phone, text, or email, so support doesn’t have to wait for your next scheduled appointment. This allows for a proactive, holistic approach focused on prevention, resilience, and long-term wellness.Concierge therapy can be more effective for many clients because it provides deeper therapeutic relationships, increased availability, and truly personalized care.

Concierge treatment oftten leads to more meaningful outcomes, greater satisfaction, and real change—especially important for those facing complex life challenges. However, it’s crucial to keep in mind that any mental health help is better than none. Traditional therapy, telehealth, support groups, crisis lines—all serve essential roles in providing care and support. If concierge therapy isn’t right for you, know that there are many other paths to getting help, and every step toward mental health is worthwhile. If you value tailored, high-touch care and want the full benefits of a client-centered approach, concierge therapy may be an ideal fit. I’m here to help you reach your goals with the support, flexibility, and responsiveness you deserve.

With care,

Dr. Jolie
